VOLUNTEERING

The Churn Project really couldn’t function without the help of its volunteers. Over 260 people give their time every year – it amounts to over 14,000 hours of help.

From becoming a trustee to baking cakes for the The Friendship Café, there are all sorts of things you could do to make a difference with The Churn Project.

There are lots of reasons for people wanting to volunteer. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to give something back to your community or to do something positive for the people around you. It can also help you to develop new skills and meet new people. Whatever your reason for offering your time and skills, we will value your contribution and make sure we find the right opportunity for you.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER?

Contact Julie for a chat about volunteering opportunities such as befriending an older person, cake baking, helping at Work Club or on the Sociable Stroll, serving tea at the Friendship Café or assisting our tutors to deliver classes in English and Maths. We also need help with fundraising events, trips and concerts throughout the year.

Anyone can volunteer. Whatever your skills, experience or background or how much time you have to give, a little help can make a big difference.

We are always looking for volunteers. Please contact us to find out more.

Our Supporters

The Churn enjoys valuable support and goodwill from people who live and work in Cirencester and local businesses. We work hard all year round seeking funds to support our services and activities so that we can provide them as affordably as possible to our service-users. We run very cost-efficiently – our team comprises 16 paid part-time workers and hundreds of volunteers who donate their time – leaving us to focus funds where it is most needed, on what really matters – helping our beneficiaries.

Community Partners

We are very fortunate to have wonderful support from the local business community in so many ways. There are too many to mention but here are a few we have worked with recently.
