Men’s Shed build planters for Cirencester community project

South Cerney Men’s Shed group have been getting stuck into their first community project. They are building planters in partnership with the community payback scheme with Cotswold District Council and the Probation Service and New Brewery Arts in Cirencester to rejuvenate the Argos alleyway in the town centre.

The chaps have been making use of their new machinery and tooling to build these wonderful wooden planters that will be transported to brighten up the alleyway space with lots of fresh blooms. This project will benefit the whole community and encourage footfall through to the local shopping area.

We currently have a group of ten men at the shed who have been regularly attending every Monday morning at the new workshop in South Cerney. We look forward to sharing with you how the project develops.
