The Men’s Shed in Cirencester gives men of all ages the chance to share and learn practical skills such as woodwork and DIY in a purpose built centre in Kingshill. You can work on your own projects or take part in group projects and be part of a supportive group of men who come from all walks of life. Men’s Shed gives you the chance to meet people and appreciate the value of peer support. It is especially beneficial for men who are experiencing bereavement, poor health or loneliness. Men’s Shed in Cirencester was officially launched in July 2024 as part of The Churn Project’s Community Shed programme and is going from strength to strength. Many community links are being developed with Cirencester’s Men’s Shed, so pop in and see what you can get involved in. £2 suggested donation for each session. Time For You is a welcoming women-only group that runs on Monday and Tuesday mornings. As well as plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and lots of chatting, we run topics and sessions to support your wellbeing. This includes creating memory boxes, sewing affirmations for positive mental health, getting closer to nature in Hailey Woods and occasional day trips to places like Bath, Birmingham and Cheltenham. All sessions and topics we cover are decided by the group themselves. £1 suggested donation each session. Positive Strides is a weekly walking group for men which focuses on improving mental health and wellbeing through walking and talking with others. We Welcome Wellness Programme

We Welcome Wellness is an eight week rolling programme aimed at anyone who is experiencing mental health challenges. We provide a weekly changing programme designed to look at different elements of wellbeing from creativity, food and nutrition and better sleep through to self-care and enjoying nature and fresh air. We work within a small and supportive group with expert guidance from staff and volunteers. The current programme will run from Wednesday 30th April until Wednesday 18th June. Participants can access a wide variety of practical activities, workshops and toolbox talks lead by knowledgeable and supportive staff and volunteers. Our Chat and Connect Group meets for a couple of hours on a Friday afternoon for a bite to eat and a hot cup of tea or coffee. You can chat, play board games and feel part of a welcoming group of new friends.
