    Our Sociable Stroll in Cirencester is a chance to walk as part of a gentle companionable group aimed at older people with good mobility. We take a different one hour walking route around Cirencester every week. Come and chat with volunteers and staff and make new friends. Well behaved dogs are very welcome!     Our Families Matter Group is a supportive parent and children playgroup in Cirencester for children aged two to four years old and their parents. You are also welcome to bring babies and younger siblings along as we understand how hard it can be to find groups for both ages.

    This group is for fun, play and meeting other parents in a friendly and informal space. The children will enjoy craft activities and messy play, as well as a healthy snack.

    Our Thursday Positive Strides walking group welcomes all adults in the community to participate in a walk around Cirencester. The walking group meets weekly on a Thursday morning and takes a variety of routes around the town, including visiting local parks and woodlands. 

    Positive Strides focuses on improving mental health and wellbeing through exercise, connecting and talking with others.

    Walks start at 11.00am from outside The Churn Project.

    Are you aged 18 to 25 and looking to join a friendly group to support your wellbeing and creativity?

    This group is all about connection, self-expression, and having fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment. You’ll meet like-minded people, build new friendships, and discover the benefits of creativity for your wellbeing.

    Whether you're passionate about music, art, or crafts, we offer a wide range of activities to spark your imagination and give you the chance to learn new skills. It’s a great space to share your ideas, explore new hobbies, and nurture the talents you already have.

    There will also be the opportunity for local trips and visits such as Ernest Cook Trust, New Brewery Arts and Westonbirt.

  • Mosaic Making

    Mosaic Making

    Join our Mosaic Making course at The Churn Project. This mosaic making workshop will be led by Artist Debbie Stirling over six weeks. Participants will enjoy working on two projects, using a variety of mixed media materials sourced for upcycling.

    We would like to invite new participants who haven’t joined us before, so please do get in touch.

    This is a wonderful opportunity to discover a new craft in a relaxed and welcoming space, while meeting new people, sharing conversations, and giving your wellbeing a gentle boost.

    There is a weekly course fee of £8 per week to cover material costs (or £3 if you’re receiving benefits).

    Starting on Thursday 9th October, 4.30pm to 6pm, for six weeks.

    Time For You is a welcoming women-only group that runs on Monday and Tuesday mornings. As well as plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and lots of chatting, we run topics and sessions to support your wellbeing.

    This includes creating memory boxes, sewing affirmations for positive mental health, getting closer to nature in Hailey Woods and occasional day trips to places like Bath, Birmingham and Cheltenham.

    All sessions and topics we cover are decided by the group themselves.

    £1 suggested donation each session.

    Positive Strides is a weekly walking group for men which focuses on improving mental health and wellbeing through walking and talking with others. At The Churn Project, we understand how important it is for men to talk openly about their mental health. Positive Strides provides a safe space where men can walk, talk and be heard by other men with shared issues and experiences. We meet on a Tuesday morning outside The Churn Project.
