We were thrilled to take part in Craftival at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester with our very own Churn Project Art Takeover—a full day of creativity, connection, and calm in the heart of the community.
Craftival, running from 29th May to 12th July 2025, is a vibrant seven-week celebration of craft and community. Hosted in the beautiful gallery space of the former brewery, the programme brings together local makers, families, artists, and community groups—and we were honoured to be among them.
Our takeover day provided a peaceful and inspiring space for participants to unwind, explore their creativity, and enjoy being part of something bigger. Guided by the wonderfully talented Artist Laurie Plant, we spent the day exploring mixed media and painting beautiful peonies on a variety of canvases. It was a joy to see everyone so focused, relaxed, and expressive through art.
A special thank you goes to New Brewery Arts for hosting us so warmly. The welcoming atmosphere made a real difference to our group, offering not only artistic inspiration but also a real sense of community and belonging.
Beth Alden, CEO of New Brewery Arts, shared these kind words:
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you for coming to New Brewery Arts yesterday with the Young Creatives. When I popped in, the whole gallery was filled with people and wonderful creativity, and it was so wonderful to see. I hope everyone enjoyed the day.”
We certainly did—and we’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful programme. If you haven’t visited Craftival yet, there’s still time! With events, workshops, and exhibitions continuing until Saturday 12th July, it’s a brilliant way to discover local talent, try something new, or just soak up the creative energy.
