Every gift helps The Churn Project continue our work with older people adults and families who are lonely, isolated, or in need of mental health and wellbeing support. Your generosity will bring warmth, comfort, and hope – especially during these colder months.
Your £10 Gift of Kindness
A Befriending Kindness – £10 can fund a volunteer befriender visit to someone isolated in our community. “I enjoy the company when my friend visits. It’s amazing to have someone to chat to, to brighten up my week.”
A Warm Welcome – £10 can provide tea and companionship at our Bereavement Café. “The Churn Project supported my husband whilst he had dementia and now it gives me the friendship I need since he died.
A Digital Connection – £10 can help our volunteers to get someone online to stay in touch with family, friends, or access community resources.
£25 Gifts Increase your Impact
Family Learning and Play Activities – £25 can support families of SEND children through creative group sessions. “I’ve received so much support for my child with physical disabilities, and help with signposting and support for neurodivergent children.”
Community Trips for the Most Isolated – £25 funds a day trip for an older person who rarely gets out. “It’s nice to have the Friendship Café and meet other people both my age and older. Being able to attend talks that I would not be able to access on my own has been lovely.”
Supporting Men’s Mental Health – £25 can provide materials for our Men’s Sheds offering a safe space to talk and create. “The Churn Project is beyond incredible! The staff have helped completely turn my life around and I’ll be forever grateful. I cannot find the words to describe how supportive and encouraging they have been.”
£100 Gifts Make a Big Difference
Wellbeing Activity Sponsor – £100 can funds a large group session such as mindfulness or crafting to boost mental health. “They have helped me to become more independent, more confident and have life skills that I wouldn’t have had if The Churn Project didn’t exist.”
Intensive Support for a Family in Crisis – £100 can help provide a month of wraparound emotional and practical support for a family facing hardship, anxiety, or major life changes. “Thank you for all you do and creating a safe space for myself and my baby every week.”
