A night to remember at the Cirencester Community Awards held at Cirencester Baptist Church, organised by Cirencester Radio.
We are beyond thrilled to share that we took home the award for ‘Special Community Project’, recognising our Men’s Sheds in Cirencester and South Cerney. This project provides a welcoming space for men to come together, learn valuable skills, enhance their mental wellbeing, and enjoy meaningful conversations. Thank you to the staff team, volunteers, and all the fantastic participants who help keep the Sheds thriving!
But wait, there’s more! Our incredible long-time volunteer, Joy Warren, was honoured as the ‘Community Champion’! Joy embodies everything that makes our community shine, helping to run our Memory Café and Friendship Café for our older residents, keeping in touch with isolated individuals in our community as part of our Good Neighbours befriending service, and lending her support to numerous Churn Project fundraising events. And we’re not the only charity she supports in Cirencester. We couldn’t be prouder of her!
A massive thank you to everyone for your continued support—our amazing community makes all this possible!
